Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree (BA preferred)

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in fire safety management

• Prior experience in the Garments / Apparel industry is mandatory

Job Context

The organization is seeking an experienced Fire Safety Officer / Fire Safety Manager to lead, manage, and monitor all fire prevention, protection, and emergency preparedness activities in compliance with national laws and international standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) and identify potential hazards across the facility

• Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Fire Safety Regulations, BNBC, Bangladesh Labor Act, and applicable standards

• Supervise inspection, operation, and maintenance of all fire detection and protection systems

• Monitor fire hydrants, fire pumps, alarms, detectors, and firefighting equipment on a daily basis

• Maintain compliance requirements related to RSC and other regulatory bodies

• Perform regular floor visits and ensure completion of daily fire safety checklists

• Establish and manage an effective in-house firefighting and rescue team across all departments

• Organize and conduct fire safety training for employees, security personnel, firefighters, and rescuers

• Plan and execute fire drills and emergency evacuation drills as per legal requirements

• Coordinate fire safety training sessions with Fire Service & Civil Defense (FSCD)

• Lead incident response, investigation, and corrective action planning

• Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to fire safety activities

• Assist during internal, external, buyer, and third-party audits

• Supervise and audit fire safety practices of all departmental subordinates

• Continuously review and suggest improvements to enhance fire safety performance

• Conduct monthly fire safety awareness training for all employees

• Support development and improvement of overall factory safety and security systems
