Job Context
The company is looking for a proactive Fire Safety Officer to support fire prevention, compliance management, emergency preparedness, and fire safety awareness across factory operations in accordance with national laws and international standards.
Key Responsibilities
-
Conduct fire risk assessments and identify potential fire hazards
-
Ensure compliance with Bangladesh fire safety regulations, BNBC, Bangladesh Labor Act, and relevant standards
-
Inspect, operate, and maintain fire detection and protection systems
-
Monitor firefighting equipment including fire hydrants, fire pumps, alarms, and extinguishers
-
Ensure daily compliance with RSC fire safety requirements
-
Perform regular floor inspections and follow up daily firefighting checklists
-
Establish and support effective in-house firefighting and rescue teams across departments
-
Arrange and conduct fire safety training for employees, security staff, firefighters, and rescuers
-
Plan and execute fire drills and emergency evacuation drills as per legal requirements
-
Coordinate fire safety training programs with Fire Service & Civil Defense (FSCD)
-
Respond to fire incidents, assist investigations, and implement corrective actions
-
Maintain proper records, reports, and documentation related to fire safety activities
-
Support internal, external, buyer, and third-party compliance audits
-
Monitor and audit fire safety practices of team members and subordinates
-
Assist in developing and updating factory safety and security systems
-
Ensure alignment with company safety policies and industry best practices
-
Lead the fire safety team effectively and recommend continuous improvements
-
Conduct monthly fire safety awareness sessions for all employees
